A confession!

I'm late, but we're close. I'm the hold up.  I'm learning to do page layout with InDesign under the tutelage of Nathan D. Paoletta and that means I'm slowing things down. We're about to do our last pass and then printers.  It's been a fun learning process. I've dumped, or iterated on, two prior designs before this one. We're sitting at @40 pages.

Here's a preview of the current layout.

And the Roden map made digital using Inkarnate and some Photoshop work. This will go in the 'zine. The printed map is different 😍

The Roden of illuminations seems to have lost the final pencil sketch, she said it was a sacrifice. Here's my initial rufffff. The printed map is closer to this design. We rotated it for the zine.

As I see it.

• I'll release PDFs once we're done with our final review of layout.
  
• To Print!
  
• Ship maps and books.
  
• Play last games at Big Bad Con.
  
• Release Wolfen life paths PDF.

We had a great game of Burning Wheel playing Roden at Gen Con and now it's back to work. It's a layout heavy week. Map art will arrive this week. Next week I'll get the finals submitted to SmartPress and release PDFs after that. Wolfen lifepaths will arrive later in a PDF. What I have now is draft and unplaytested. Backerkit will also lockdown late next week -I'll warn ya first.

 In the meanwhiles.. take a listen to Mike Pondsmith and I talk about Mekton, Macross and of course Cyberpunk RPG!  Or there's that other Mad kickstarter!

As By Aecer's Light enters the shipping phase and this project winds down, I've already started another!

Into the Mad Lands is live and part of the Break Kickstarter promotion. It's me running a West Marches "living campaign" with KS backers. We'll use Free League's Forbidden Lands and B/X Essentials from Necrotic Gnome to play games. Take a gander.
